The members of Central Connection are announcing a series of conversations for early career members around the importance of political action. The conversations will be informal and relaxed.
Has politics ever come up in conversations related to your job? Maybe you have heard calls to action, requests for donations, or pleas to support a particular candidate.
Well, few NJEA members express an automatic interest and enthusiasm for political action.
The fact is, whether we like it or not, politics play a major role in our personal and professional lives. Elected and appointed officials make decisions about everything from NJEA members’ salaries and health benefits to privatization of school services and pensions.
If you have ever thought about learning more, these event are for you to connect with your peers across the counties of the central region.
Time: 11 AM – 12:30 PM.
Locations: Panera Bread or Starbucks. NJEA will pick up the check for members’ drinks.
More details will be announced soon. Interested in assisting with the planning of this event? Email Andrew Lewis of the Old Bridge Education Association at firstname.lastname@example.org.
